Project description

The project seeks to build capacity of community institutions to advocate for environmental protection stemming from pollutions caused by oil bunkering and artisanal refining, while developing strategies to hold oil companies accountable for equipment failures and other forms of pollution. The project will draw collaboration from relevant government agencies, including the security, civil society, communities and the media to collectively develop and implement advocacy strategies to bring to an end oil bunkering and artisanal refining.


Waste to Wealth – Water Hyacinth Handicraft

70 women (40 directly and 32 indirectly) from Ogbia Local Government in Bayelsa State were equipped with tools and skills to transform water hyacinth to handicraft to enhance their income generation capacity. Readmore
